Chahamana (Chauhan) ruler of Sapadalaksha with his capital at Ajmer, famous for defeating Muhammad of Ghor at the First Battle of Tarain (1191).
Biography
Prithviraj III became king while still young and expanded Chauhan power across present-day Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi. His life is celebrated in the epic poem Prithviraj Raso.
